SELECTION OF OUR SECURITY COMPANY - COMPANY PROPOSALS

-
Elements of the Security Committee, the Bid Committee and the Officer's Committee, heard and studied the proposals of 14 Security Companies. Each company in turn presented their bid and were questioned about many issues of interest.
-
We have archived each of their slide show presentations and put all 14 proposals into an Adobe portfolio. in addition, the portfolio contains Administrative items such as attendance sheets, Research notes, and a voting sheet. Taken together, all 16 files amount to 1.4Gbyte, which have been uploaded to the Google Cloud.
-
If you are interested in reviewing these presentations, download the portfolio at the following link:

-
Be patient, this is a big file, just click through all of the warnings. Constructive questions and suggestions are welcome. Thanks to Ed Black, Security Committee Chair for his perseverance in arranging the very rigorous conduct of this evolution.

RENTERS and UCO

I must say something about Esther's Blog and renters. I have been President of the Association where I live for about 6 years now. We have always and the real estate agents taken a Renter's application to UCO Investigation. We are not responsible for a renter who does not pay, it is the owner who becomes responsible but we do want to make sure that the applicant does not have a criminal record that they have not disclosed. We have refused  a couple of applicants over the years for not disclosing they had a record and tried to hide it. They went away quietly, no problems. UCO has no say other than to advise you. It is the Association who finally says yes or no.

POSSIBLE MALWARE ON MALCONTENT BLOG

This is the message that comes up from Avast Anti Virus when I try to get on Gary's Blog.
FRANKLY I DON'T BELIEVE THIS MESSAGE BUT STILL I CANNOT ACCESS HIS BLOG.

Best thing is to watch the kid's faces

Our President

A very big OOPS. I accused Esther of writing the filth about our elected President of UCO. I
was wrong. It was Olga. I sincerely apologize to Esther. Well what can one say about Olga? She is also a nasty piece of work.

NEW SECURITY CONTRACT APPROVED BY DELEGATE ASSEMBLY - OCTOBER 2, 2015

-Image result for platinum group security
-
Despite an incessant spew of Malcontent drivel, it was clear that the majority of Delegates were tired of the disruptive nonsense.
-
It became clear, that Delegates might get disgusted with the frivolous points of information, delaying motions, threats to sue, shouts of illegal vote; and walk out.  So I turned these aside in order to address the critical motion on the floor, to accept the contract with Platinum Group Security.
-
Clearly, the core Malcontent group, can't understand that the UCO Officers are elected to do this work in consonance with the relevant Committees. It is impossible for the entire Delegate Assembly (349 Delegates) to be involved in the minutiae of RFP, Bid and selection process. What we hear from the disruptors is "we want to control everything"! Well that is easily done, simply get elected, and see what real responsibility means...!
-
This contract brought to fruition the thousands of man-hours expended by elements of the Security Committee, the Bid Committee and the Officers of UCO hearing from 14 security companies. Once Platinum was selected by this process, the contract was modified to comply with our needs in Century Village; this involved much coordination between UCO's Attorney, Platinum, and of course our Security Chair Ed Black. The final modified contract was approved by the UCO Officers for presentation to the Delegate Assembly.
-
The vote was unambiguous in favor; 88 pro, 33 con.
-
Welcome Platinum Security.
